Creating Impact in Our Community and Beyond

Rotary Frankston Sunrise remains committed to making a meaningful difference— both locally and internationally — through a wide range of initiatives that support individuals, families, and communities in need.

Over the past year, our members have contributed their time, energy, and resources to a variety of impactful activities, including:

  • Partnering with over 30 local businesses and Council on the inaugural Australia’s Most Accessible Beach Project at Frankston Foreshore
  • Supporting the Community Support Frankston Christmas Appeal, helping ensure local families had food on the table during the festive season
  • Sponsoring six children in Vietnam through the DOVES (Disadvantaged & Orphans of Vietnam Education Sponsorship) program
  • Funding more than 20 wheelchairs for children in developing countries through Wheelchairs for Kids
  • Assisting Project Fresh Start to expand their food relief services through the purchase of a new cool room
  • Providing funding support for grassroots sport via the Frankston Football Club Community Foundation
  • Mentoring students through the Frankston High School Interact Club
  • Supporting disadvantaged and disengaged members of the local community through the Peninsula Kingswood Foundation
  • Enabling one young person to attend the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF)
  • Supporting Pets In The Park Frankston in delivering free veterinary care to pets of people experiencing homelessness, strengthening the vital human–animal bond.

These initiatives reflect the breadth of Rotary’s reach—from local community support to international aid—and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to service above self.
