In 2025-2026, the Rotary Frankston Sunrise Foundation proudly launched its first Community Grants Program, offering grants of up to $10,000 to support local, project- based DGR organisations and initiatives aligned with key community priorities.
A Thoughtful and Rigorous Process
Applications were assessed by Foundation Trustees against clear criteria including community impact, sustainability, governance, and alignment with Rotary values.
The quality of submissions reflected both the depth of local need and the strength of organisations responding to it.
Looking Ahead
Formal impact and acquittal reports are due at the end of this financial year.
While outcomes are not yet available, we are confident these initiatives will deliver meaningful, measurable benefits to our community.
More Than Funding
This inaugural grants round has strengthened connections with local organisations and created new opportunities for our members to engage in hands-on community service.
A strong foundation has been laid for future rounds — supporting practical, local solutions that make a real and meaningful difference.
Funded Project Highlights:
Five local charities were invited to apply, with each presenting a targeted project to address critical needs across the Frankston community.
Women’s Spirit Project: Spirit of Transformation & Walks Program
building confidence, wellbeing and connection for women facing disadvantage
Mums Supporting Families in Need: Hamper of Hope
providing essential household goods to families rebuilding after domestic violence
Community Support Frankston: Road Assist
helping vulnerable individuals stay mobile through support for vehicle registration, repairs and fuel
Project Fresh Start: Food storage upgrade
expanding capacity to deliver nutritious meals to those experiencing food insecurity
Dress for Success Victoria: Care Pack for Courage
supplying clothing and essentials to women entering safe housing.
